Robert Piguet

designer. born Switzerland
after training as a banker, Piguet moved to Paris in 1918 and worked for Redfern and Poiret. opening in 1933, the House of Piguet was known for romantic evening owns and elegant suits and dresses, often in grey, beige or blue. Piguet also made costumes for the stage and frequently employed other designers, including Balmain, Dior, Galanos and Givenchy.
